UMV Rajepur, Mehsi, East Champaran, Bihar: The official website of Bihar's first government school.
Welcome to the page dedicated to the Tithi Bhoj initiative at UMS UMV Rajepur. Tithi Bhoj is a time-honored Indian tradition that embodies the spirit of community service, gratitude, and social contribution. At our school, this program is a heartwarming collaboration between the community and the institution to enhance the nutrition and well-being of our students.
Tithi Bhoj literally means a "feast on a specific date" (Tithi). It is a voluntary program where individuals, families, or groups sponsor and organize a special, nutritious, and delicious meal for the students. This meal is provided in addition to the standard Mid-Day Meal (MDM) or as an enhancement to the day's meal.
Motivation: Families often organize Tithi Bhoj to celebrate special occasions such as:
Birthdays of children or family members.
Wedding anniversaries or other milestones.
The commemoration of a loved one (Shraddh Tithi).
Festivals or successful achievements.
The Spirit: This initiative reinforces the values of sharing, social responsibility, and selfless service (Sewa) among our students and the community.
The Tithi Bhoj program brings great joy to our students and serves a crucial nutritional purpose:
Nutritional Value: Sponsors are encouraged to provide healthy, balanced, and locally sourced food items like fruits, sweets (made from healthy ingredients), nutritious puddings (kheer), and special seasonal vegetables that may not be standard in the daily MDM menu.
Community Feast: The meal is served with dignity, respect, and enthusiasm, turning the Mid-Day Meal into a special community feast that children look forward to.
Hygiene and Quality: The school administration ensures strict adherence to hygiene, quality, and quantity standards for all food served under the Tithi Bhoj program.
We warmly invite all parents, alumni, and benevolent members of the Rajepur and Mehsi community to participate in this noble cause.
Registration: Interested individuals or families should register their desire to sponsor a Tithi Bhoj with the Headmaster's Office.
Date Selection: A mutually convenient date (Tithi) is selected, ensuring the schedule does not conflict with other school events.
Menu Finalization: The menu must be finalized in consultation with the school administration to ensure it meets health standards and is suitable for children.
Contribution: Contributions can be made in the form of prepared food, raw materials, or financial support specifically designated for the Tithi Bhoj meal.
Contact: To sponsor a Tithi Bhoj and bring a special meal to our students, please contact the Headmaster during school hours.
