Elocution and public speaking competitions provide students with the stage presence and vocal skills necessary to address an audience effectively.

• Focus: Clarity of thought, fluency, pronunciation, body language, and effective delivery.

• Key Events:

  • Annual Hindi & English Elocution Competition: Students recite poems, excerpts from famous speeches, or deliver self-composed pieces based on a given theme (e.g., patriotism, environmental protection).

  • Spotlight Speeches: Quick, impromptu speaking sessions held during the morning assembly to boost confidence and quick thinking.

  • Storytelling Contest: Encouraging narrative skills and engaging an audience with creative and imaginative tales.

Debating teaches students how to analyze complex issues, construct logical arguments, and respectfully challenge opposing viewpoints. It is a cornerstone of democratic discussion, often supported by the Bal Sansad.
